Jeanne doesn’t have a blog-yet! Maybe I can talk her into one! Anyway, Jeanne congratulations and email me!

Since you live in my city I may have to personally deliver your prize so we can finally meet! What are the odds of that?

But you guys can trust my “Honest Abe” dad. He drew her name!

We had a great dinner yesterday. We had enchiladas and taquitos. And the rhubarb cake was Delicious!!!

I’ll post the recipe tomorrow…

Tonight, I’ll be opening my Etsy store!!! I’ll be selling hand dyed woolens, hooking journals, t-shirts and other “hooker” accessories!

I'll draw the winner tonight at 6:00!

My sister is having us over for a Father's Day dinner this evening. Like I said, I'll have my daddy draw the winners name before we eat. (So I won't be too sleepy to do it)
I wish these little birdies could help him! How cute is that?

I'm making a rhubarb cake. I got the recipe from The Today Show. I'll let you know how it turns out and if it's good I'll share the recipe. I didn't even know if rhubarb was in season. But our local market has it.

Mickey has informed me that he WILL NOT TASTE IT!!! I'm not kidding. He looked like a four year old. He crossed his arms and said, "because I don't want to!" Now try cooking for someone like that. I can't even put an onion in anything. It gets pretty boring around here with the meals. How can you cook anything without onions? Basically he wants meat-plain, a vegetable-maybe with a little butter on it and potatoes-plain again. And I collect cookbooks!!! I gave most of them to my sister a few weeks ago. She's getting ready to start her new life with her man and he's a good eater!!!

Good Luck everyone and thanks for playing!
Peace,
Sheri

Trouble with the men in my life!

Yes, I’ve got big trouble at home. It seems that Jimmie Dean does not want Mickey to kiss me any more! Nor does he want him to sit by me!!!

Last night Mickey bent down to kiss me goodnight and Jimmie went Crazy! Growling, snapping and spinning in circles! No Kissing His Mommy, it seems. So at lunch today we thought we’d try it again. Sure enough, no kissing. He even bared his teeth this time when he growled at Mickey. Not good…

My main man

My Mickey cropped

My little dog faced boy

They’re both so cute, aren’t they? Well I never thought I’d have to choose. We worked and worked on the kissing and sitting close! (Quite a nice lunch hour, I might add) But…

I ended up scratching Mickey on the neck by his ear and kissing Jimmie Dean on the mouth! Not Kidding!

I guess I could have worse problems.

Thanks for all of the lovely comments on my 100th post. It’s almost drawing time! My sister is having us over for dinner in the evening on Father’s Day and I’ll have my dad draw the number then! I’ll let you know first thing Monday morning.

Peace,

Sheri

Yoo Hoo! Post number 100!!! Give-away!!!

I never thought when I started writing Shabby Sheep that I would ever reach that 100 mark!  Thanks for continuing to be curious about what I’m working on and doing!  As promised I am going to start the give away RIGHT NOW…

And it will end on Fathers Day at 12:00 noon.  I will have my daddy draw the name!  How fun is that?

Here is what I’m giving away.  These pieces of red, white and blue wool and this piece of red, white and blue wool!

blog giveaway wool

And this great hooking journal with red, white and blue wool “fringe” on the edge.

To enter, just leave a comment on this post.  For an extra entry mention it on your blog (entry #2)—and let me know.  For the third entry, put a link on your blog to this post! And let me know.

And today I want to show you the pattern I’ve drawn for my Shabby Sheep logo rug.

DSCN3178

I’m going to add a paper Stanley Home Products tape measure to the bottom.  A friend gave it to me to decorate my sewing box with it.  And the crocheted pieces I got at a garage sale.  (I think they were made for pillow case and tablecloth edging) And also the antique buttons that my mother-in-law gave me.  She brought me a whole tin of these cool buttons that were her mom’s.  And at the bottom are the swatches of the dyes I am going to use.  They are Pro Chem.  I’ll be using the lightest of the swatches.  I can’t wait to get this started but I’m waiting for the dye to arrive in the mail and I haven’t finished the binding on my chicken yet.  Really don’t like to start another project until the last one is completed, you know.

This is being typed with the Windows Live Writer that I heard about on todayscreativeblog.blogspot.com.  So far it’s MUCH easier than the format on blogger.  It is still the “carrier” of this blog.  Just using the live writer for the writing!  So easy!!

You can link to Windows Live Writer Here.

Thank you again for reading about my little life and Get Registered!!!

Post number ninety-nine!

Well first I need to correct the mistake from my last post. I said I had a new friend, but I gave you the wrong blog name. To link to her blog click here!

Now you may visit her and tell her what a great teacher she is! That is, if the link will work!

I'm working on the binding of my chicken rug. As I said, I'm using number eight strips and whipping the edge with those strips. This is my first attempt at this method. Is this what it's supposed to look like?

I'm happy with it so far. It looks like it will be a time consuming way to finish, but I guess they are all time consuming. That's why I have so many finished rugs hanging in the closet with no edging on them!

I just can't wait to get this one under my belt. Because I've already drawn my next pattern. It's a logo/banner for Shabby Sheep! I'll show pictures of the pattern tomorrow on my 100th post!!!

Don't forget about the Give away for that special post! I'm not going to say what it is until tomorrow when I actually open the drawing. If you mention it on your blog, you'll get an extra entry. If you link to it from your blog you'll get two extra entries!!! How simple is that?
OK, I deleted all of the BIG WORDS that were here earlier! This blogger has gotten so irritating! Can't move the pictures and then these words were about 2 inches tall! Switching to Windows Live Writer tomorrow, I hope.

Peace,
Sheri
