Friday night art walk

What a busy weekend. The first Friday of every month our downtown association puts on a "First Friday Art Walk". Most of the galleries stay open until 10:00 p.m. to participate. There are also many upscale restaurants downtown and they are all full with a long wait. We are trying to revitalize our downtown area and square. People are taking the old run down buildings and making them into unbelievable loft apartments. Very beautiful.

A weekend or so ago they had a loft walk, but I just couldn't handle all the stairs with this damned fibromyalgia.

Park Central Square

The window of the glass blowing shop.

A street hot dog vendor~we're getting very "big city"!

The window of the camera shop.

In my opinion, the best art of the night... a nine week old Pomeranian baby girl.. Named Diva. Isn't she sweet?

An oil painting I think would make an awesome rug.

One of the beautiful old buildings waiting for someone to buy it and renovate it. I wish it could be me!!!

These guys described themselves as "Street Geeks". Why? I don't know!!

Outside artwork on a brick wall. Reminds me of Aubrey Beardsley's work.

grafitti....made me feel good.

We ran into our son and he bought us dinner at The Patton Alley Pub. We had fish and chips and a beer. YUM!

Tomorrow I'll show you pictures of the Ozark Craft Festival and my Great garage sale finds on Saturday.

Tomorrow is a new day...begin it well. Emerson

Peace,
