Alice and I are published!!!

It’s not yesterday’s news, but it is recent! Jane Halliwell Green’s new book, “Pictorial Hooked Rugs” was released in the fall and I just now got my copy! And here are our works!

015

Mine is titled “Sunflower” and it is the place in my mind I would love to live in Italy! Never been there, but hope to go someday.

The sunflower in the lower right hand corner is stuffed with fiberfill and beaded with little brown and gold beads.

016

And here is Alice’s rug, titled “England Memory Rug”. You can visit her blog folkartprimitives.blogspot.com.

Also of interest today I was reading Jane’s blog and she has a link showing her new video on pixelating! Jane Halliwell Green teaches how to pixelatehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9Bf2c-vCoU

Very Interesting! And a great idea for hooking all of the spring flowers that are just around the corner. (Yes, I know I’m pushing it. We have snow on the ground too!)

021

I’ve been hooking on a tote bag by Karen Kahle. I’ve got one side finished already! Really fast hooking. 027 029

And FYI, I had chemo #4 Monday and everything is going Great! Still feel good~knock on wood! Two more to go! Yeah!!!

Going to do some more hooking this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a pleasant evening.

Peace,

Sheri

Wow, Sheri! My friend Linda at Grant Street Woolworks just this afternoon received the J H Green books in the mail. I didn't have time to look at it closely and had no idea you and Alice were in it! How wonderful!!!

Glad your chemo is going well.
Take care!!!

I have had that book for awhile and the names of the makers didn't click in my brain! How exciting to have your hard work published in a book. Be proud!

Love the bottle tree with the snow. And I'm SO glad you are getting close to the end of your chemo! I'm so proud of you for having such a great attitude!

Congrats!!!! KUDOS to both you girls! What gorgeous rugs. Heartfelt!!!

Sheri - the first thing I was drawn to on your rug was the GREAT job you did with your shading. Masterful. It's like looking at a photo of houses and seeing the shadows, perfectly cast. Just beautiful. Of course, I loved seeing the sunflower in the corner. You always do such neat "extras".

I'm so thrilled to hear you are feeling good --- strong ---- positive! You go girl. We are all so proud of you.

Hugs from Florida. My feet are like popsicles here --- I can just imagine how cold yours are in Missouri. BURRRRRRRRR. Hook and stay warm.

Love ya!

I've had my book since way before Christmas....I wonder why yours was so slow getting to you? Loved both yours and Alice's rugs.

I've been meaning to email you but I might as well just ask you here.....any chance you're going to be able to make it to Lenexa this year? I'd love to finally meet you.
