Interesting web sites

I found these sites late last night.  I couldn't get to sleep and entered "antique hooked rugs" into my search engine.  I spent HOURS looking at pictures of beautiful textiles.

Thought I'd share them with you.

The first one is www.rahmanan.com

This one is circa 1880 and is listed under American hooked rugs.  What a website.  There's over 400 pages of antique rug photos!!!

The other one I spent a lot of time on was, www.cyberrug.com

I spent the whole weekend hooking on my antique star adaptation.  Talked to my oncologist Friday and she said the ECHO cardiogram wasn't normal and she is trying to get me into a cardiologist asap.  She told me to take it easy and No Exertion this weekend!  Gee...why didn't she scare me? (For once I followed her advice though.)

Hope you enjoy looking at the antique rugs!  Don't stay up all night!

Peace,

Sheri

Love that second rug ~ I will check out those websites when I know I have time ~ I don't right now! And kudos to you for following doctor's orders ~ sometimes it's tempting not to! Take good care of yourself ~ you've been thru too much to not give yourself every opportunity to be well!! And we want you to BE WELL, dear friend!!

I second Alice's comment! You must follow the Dr.s orders on this one. You are doing great and this is just another step in the process. You will have it all behind you in no time. Hugs, prayers and healing thoughts for you this week and beyond! Cathy G

Love the rugs you are doing. Boy, I just hope Jimmie Dean will appreciate his beautiful rug. I only have hooked rugs bought from eBay on my floor for my dogs and so far, only a little chewing on one corner. Thanks also for the websites, I am a sucker for gorgeous antique rugs.

Please follow the Doctor's orders!! My mother and my nephew both developed congestive heart failure. Mom's is under control and she will be 87 on June 27.
My nephew is only in his 20s and is on the heart transplant list as of this past winter. It is so serious and I want you to BE WELL!!!
My prayers stay with you,
trisha

Sheri, I hope you'll post an update on your echo! I finally had some time to check the blogs today and now I'm distressed to read your update. If you don't mind, I'm going to ask for some extra prayers for you on Sunday.

I've not been hooking much lately. I just purchased my first horse and have been spending all of my time outside in the heat and humidity. And I'm still taking my riding lesson once a week. I need to remember my sunblock....the sun is brutal.

Please follow your doctor's orders and let us know how you're doing.

So much fun to discover something new like this - and even better to share it with the rest of us. Thanks for doing so. I will check the sites out when I have some time. Rest well and do what the doctor says. If it's an excuse to surf, sobeit. We enjoy the bounty of your adventures.
