I finished the tote bag by Karen Kahle!

Valentines day 010

And I had the best time hooking it!  It hooked up really fast.  Then came the sewing with a machine part….

Valentines day 014

And the swearing…. Broke the needle within a few minutes!!!

I am going to change the handle material to a pink wool.  I think the stripes are just too bright.  And I think I’ll add some sort of trim around the top of the bag too.

Hope everyone had a great Valentine’s day!  Mine was great!  He spoils me and I love it!  And he even proved he Listens to me.  A while back I told him I’d like to try my hand at growing an orchid.  He got me two for V. day.  One white, the other lavendar.  Also two more silver charms for my bracelet.  And a pot of daffodils to set out in the spring!

 Valentines day 029

It’s still snowing here and has done so every day since last Friday.  Not sticking on the ground, just looking beautiful.

Have a great week

Peace,

Sheri

Great bag - I think you are right about the straps - I think the stripes takes away from it. It's beautiful though.

Sheri,
The bag looks great! Love the orchids too! Just want you to know I'm thinking of you today! My V-Day card I made for Kenny looked like a 5 year old made it, but he loved it! :)

Your bag looks lovely ~ and good luck with the orchids!! I've never tried it but I think have just right spot regarding light and temp is the key. My friend has had one for years on a enclosed sunporch and it thrives!! Glad you had a good V day!!!

Oh Sheri - I love the bag. Your pink is growing on me.......and I'm not even a pink kinda gal! But the bag is oooohhhhh-laaaaaaa-laaaaaaaa.

I have several orchids here in FL. I leave them outside all the time and Mother Nature takes care of them. I feed 'em when I remember and they bloom and bloom. The key is supposed to be "a little food and a little water".......... How can something so ugly grow such gorgeous blooms? One of Mother Nature's secrets.

So glad to see you posting - that tells me you are feeling better. THAT is a great sign!
